The current offer of the SüessART Academy provides you with the basis and all possibilities for discovering and expanding new and individual forms of expression in a professional environment.
We grant you a quiet and safe work in small groups (max. 4-5 participants) in our suitable studio atmosphere with spacious, bright workplaces. In the confrontation with colors, materials and forms we awaken and expand your artistic potential.
If you would like to immerse yourself intensively in the world of painting, we recommend a professional painting workshop lasting several days. As described at ifolor, you are also in good hands as a beginner.

What next? – Finishing (finish painting)
D2025-04 / 14.05. – 16.05.2025 / 3 Days / CHF 480.-
Who doesn’t know them – the works that are never quite finished! When is a painting finished? This is a big question for all painters. However, doubts or uncertainties can often be resolved more easily when viewing and discussing in a small group.
How can different shapes or areas of color be combined to create a large, successful composition? Which parts of the picture will gain new expressive power through targeted reduction or even omission? Which color combinations, which ‘eye-catcher’ brings additional tension or even decisive depth and attention to the picture?
We will work together on various possibilities and techniques for completing the paintings you have prepared and brought with you (we will not start any new works in this workshop). We will deepen our knowledge of image structure and composition.
The ‘Finisher Workshop’ is aimed at advanced students and painters who have experience of working with acrylics or who may have already taken a course with Robert Süess (not compulsory).
With impressions directly into the material image
D2025-05 / 23.06. – 27.06.2025 / 5 Days / CHF 780.-
Creativity is always a step into the unknown. The central theme of this course is inspiring and motivating work and translating your own lively world of ideas into the actual painting.
It is about the courageous development of powerful impressions in generous layering, new ways of expressing moods and the reflection of natural life processes in concrete material and spatial references. I love the ‘magic of the material’. Together we create surfaces with depth in several steps before we condense, reduce and bring the pictorial expression to an expressive finish in dialog with the world of color.
This course is aimed at those who are open to new approaches.
Finding motifs for your own visual language
D2025-06 / 18.08. – 22.08.2025 / 5 Days / CHF 780.-
In this course I will introduce you to your own creative path through a free and courageous way of working – away from previous constraints, guidelines and restrictions, but through new impressions. A surprising and uninhibited interplay of technical possibilities is complemented by your own world of ideas.
You will practise the impulsive gesture that gives a picture its expressiveness and reveals the freedom of the painter. You will experience a new creative and artistic process, both experimentally and expressively, which will lead you further into your artistic signature. Embark on a creative journey of discovery and join me on an unstoppable, unrestrained and in-depth plunge into the world of color and material.
This course is aimed at those who are open to new approaches.
Impressions in the colorful autumn
