The current offer of the SüessART Academy provides you with the basis and all possibilities for discovering and expanding new and individual forms of expression in a professional environment.
We grant you a quiet and safe work in small groups (max. 4-5 participants) in our suitable studio atmosphere with spacious, bright workplaces. In the confrontation with colors, materials and forms we awaken and expand your artistic potential.
If you would like to immerse yourself intensively in the world of painting, we recommend a professional painting workshop lasting several days. As described at ifolor, you are also in good hands as a beginner.

Develop cheeky image compositions

In this workshop, we want to break new ground and achieve the extraordinary through our courage and boldness. Away from our usual work and our own routine, we will overcome boundaries and blockages, free ourselves from inner constraints and gain a new, strong self-confidence with more freedom in the realisation of our personal works.
The focus is on trying out different new materials and techniques with a variety of applications and possible combinations.
We control coincidences, find surprising, but nevertheless functioning compositions and, despite more freedom in painting with different techniques, regain an organised framework for the further development of our personal form of artistic expression.

Small pictures with a twist

Even the small format – whether canvas, cardboard or paper – has the full potential to create fascinating pictorial spaces in the interplay of pictorial planes, surfaces, forms and condensations, to paint over them again, to reduce them and to set specific accents.
This workshop will focus on a variety of applications and possible combinations of different collage materials, supplemented with drawings and typographic elements, with which we will create fascinating compositions and series in small format.
New forms of artistic expression are created through experimental work and the playful learning of easy-to-use techniques and materials. And in the final revision, courage is required in the use of pencils, chalks and ink.
This course is aimed at anyone interested in capturing ingenious and spontaneous ideas in small pictures.
With impressions directly into the material image

It is about the courageous development of powerful impressions in generous layering, new ways of expressing moods and the reflection of natural life processes in concrete material and spatial references through overlapping forms and ambiguous structures.

When is a painting finished? This is a big question for all painters. However, doubts or uncertainties can often be resolved more easily when viewing and discussing in a group.
How can different shapes or areas of colour be combined to create a large, successful composition? Which parts of the picture can gain new expressiveness through targeted reduction or even omission? Which colour combinations, which ‘eye-catchers’ bring additional tension or even the decisive depth and attention to the picture?
Together we will work out various possibilities and techniques for completing your own prepared and brought along works of art.

Pouring – but then the right way!

Experiments, planned chaos, controlling coincidences – and lots of surprises! Together we will try out the many possibilities of the pouring technique step by step. You will learn how to use the new techniques and apply them confidently to create authentic and generous works in mixed media.

In this course, I will gradually introduce you to a detached and free way of working – away from previous constraints, guidelines and restrictions. Various new techniques will be complemented by your personal impulsiveness.
You will practise the impulsive gesture that gives a picture its expressiveness and reveals the freedom of the painter. With collages, the diverse beauty of colours and skilful material effects, you will learn to create impressive new works.
By intensively discarding and repainting ‘half-finished compositions’, we experience the creative journey of discovery with the surprising pleasure of the unexpected, a new personal result.

Together we will revitalise the cold winter landscape step by step with authentic works. We work with unusual materials on canvas, collage, overpaint and reduce. By condensing numerous contrasting layers and working patiently, a multi-dimensional picture with depth is created.
