Surfaces with dynamic scenarios

I literally never stand in front of a “blank canvas” with these works.

For me, these large-scale canvases begin on the floor and tables of art academies and my own studio to ‘get dirty’. In other words, before I pick up brushes and palette knives, the spontaneous areas of colour, splashes, lines and also piles of material from many hours of workshop and studio work are first found on all these canvases and form the actual basis for the final, concrete and conscious further work up to the finished painting.

Although my works are very loose and expressionistic, they have a sense of gravity with shapes, horizons, typographic accents and coherent compositions. The paintings thus become murals and graffiti and thus an impressive decoration for the respective shop windows or workspaces, giving them a special vitality.
